Witches and Goblins and Food for Manna
Halloween For the past three years Kelly and Ruben Villasenor have created a Halloween Haunted House on Green Valley Drive in Newbury Park that has been the center of all kinds of neighborhood activity, including collecting food for Manna. This year they gave out more than twenty pounds of candy to over 250 people  who visited their spooky venue while collecting over 780 pounds of food for Manna.  Manna's executive director Jennifer Schwabauer was one of the visitors this year and took this great picture to share with the Manna community. Starting in July and culminating on Halloween night, these terrific people create a haunted house that has the entire neighborhood supporting their efforts by stopping in and dropping off canned goods as they check progress on the construction.  As Halloween draws near, the Villasenor's also host Friday night movies where people bring food and watch kid friendly Halloween movies. Manna extends a heartfelt thanks to Kelly and Ruben.  Somehow your Halloween Haunted House tradition represents the best of our vibrant community here in the Conejo Valley.  Generosity, creativity, hospitality and family.
