We're Excited!
Kiwanis of Thousand Oaks is sponsoring the 6th Annual "Give Back Basketball Game" for charity on March 28, 2015. This wonderful community event raises money for MANNA and community youth organizations. It's a great way to come together as a community for the benefit of great charities. Everyone is welcome. So mark your calendar for March 28, 2015 from 2:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the gym at Thousand Oaks High School located at 2323 Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, 91360
The Give Back Game will feature at least six 20 minute exhibition basketball games with some great entertainment between. As in past years there will be fierce competitions for team bragging rights between all kinds of local groups including police and firefighters, members of the Kiwanis versus Rotary Clubs of Thousand Oaks and Westlake, local High School and Junior High School teams including Thousand Oaks and Westlake, and KEY Club members from several of our local high schools.
A game entry donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children and students is requested for each ticket to the Give Back Game. There will be great food served by Kiwanis and everyone will have the opportunity to win one of many prizes donated by local businesses. There will be over 20 different items in various drawings and other great raffle surprises.
People are also asked to bring a cans / boxes of food to donate to MANNA. The Kiwanis Key Clubs of Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Newbury Park, and Oak Park High Schools are working with volunteers from local service clubs to make this event a success. Last year this event raised over $5,000 for to help feed our community. All proceeds will be donated to our MANNA food bank, which served over 21,000 Conejo Valley residents last year and to several youth organizations through Kiwanis.
