Pantry Operations Supported & Hungry are Fed with Grants

Thank you to all those that have helped, dedicated time, and donated!

Manna Food Bank would like to thank Los Robles Hospital Volunteers Grant and Weingart Foundation Grant for being able to supply and re-stock our pantry for the hungry in our local community. The Los Robles Hospital funds are derived from their gift shop at the hospital. We have been fortunate enough to have had their aid and support for more than 10 years, and this donation is no different. The grant, totaling $5,000, has helped restore our pantries and supplies so that we can serve the community better. Several Manna volunteers also volunteer with the hospital, and we are lucky to have them as an ally. The Weingart Foundation is a large foundation in Los Angeles that funds many basic needs project. This grant, $20k, is for general support of our organization. Their mission is to provide grants and other support for nonprofit organizations delivery quality services in the areas of health, human services, and education for people and communities in need. Grant funds are important because they support the general operations of Manna Food Bank, like our cooling system which enables it to partner with retailers and provide clients with perishable items. Funds also support our truck that picks up large food drives and donations from retail partners, in addition to marketing materials, maintenance, food drive donations bins, and certain food items when food drives run low. No matter how much or how little you can give, you’ll be making a difference at Manna Food Bank! ogether, we can feed children, families, and seniors who struggle for food in Conejo Valley and Thousand Oaks.
