Celebrating Thousand Oaks 50th Anniversary with Manna
What is a 50th Anniversary celebration without a parade? Join Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, a host of other volunteer groups, and the City of Thousand Oaks at the celebration parade on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 on Thousand Oaks Boulevard between 9:00 and 11:00 am. The parade will begin at Duesenberg Drive and end at Erbes Road. The Thousand Oaks 50th Anniversary Parade will honor the past and have a down home feel. Come and see vintage cars, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department Mounted Police, our Manna truck surrounded by Manna volunteers, antique fire engines, local Conejo Valley area high school marching bands, equestrians, floats and much more!   We think this is a great way to celebrate what Thousand Oaks is all about.  Not only marking our 50 years as a city, but to experience firsthand the vibrant community spirit in the Conejo Valley.  For Manna it is also a celebration of the generosity from all the people who have continued to support our work for so many years. Whether you are interested in volunteering, helping with coordination, submitting your own parade entry or provide moral support, be sure to visit www.toparade.com to learn more. To be involved, or for more information, please contact parade organizer, John Short at john.short@ubs.com
