Our KO Poker Night was a Huge Success!
Our first ever Poker Night at the KO Studios in Agoura Hills was a huge success! The event was able to raise over $500 for Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank in just one night! The KO Poker Night was held on August 15th, and had 25 people compete in the poker tournament. The buy-in for the game was $25 and was open to family and friends of KO Studios. There was a beginner instructional table for those who wanted to participate but did not know too much about the game. A portion of all the proceeds from the event went to Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank. The 25 people that attended the event came from all over the Conejo Valley and beyond. With people from Simi Valley and Moorpark, it is great to see that the reach of Manna is extending beyond our target area. Expanding out of our area allows us to help more people who are in need throughout the Conejo Valley. Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank was started in 1971 by a group of people who believed that nobody should go hungry in their local community. We help to feed more than 1,400 people every month, and more than 20,000 people every year. Manna is not affiliated with any religious organization in the area, and we receive no federal funding. Almost all of the food that is offered to people in need in the community comes straight from donations from people like you. Manna is committed to helping stop the hunger problem in the Conejo Valley. With one in every six people facing hunger, we are proud to do our part to help the people of our community. For more information on how you can give back to your local community, contact Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank in Thousand Oaks, California.
