Huge Thank You To The Weingart Foundation!

We would like to give a huge thank you to the Weingart Foundation for their very generous grant of $15,000. This grant will be used to help provide operating support to Manna as we continue to help those who are suffering from hunger in the local Conejo Valley community.

The Weingart Foundation was founded by Ben and Stella Weingart in 1951 and is a private, nonprofit grant-making foundation that gives grants and other types of support to improving the sustainability and capacity of nonprofit organizations, in order to help them provide more effective services in the areas of human services, health, and education.

The highest priority of the Weingart Foundation goes to activities that are able to provide greater access to people who are underserved and economically disadvantaged. Applications that explicitly address the needs of low-income youth and children, older adults, and people who have been affected by homelessness and disabilities are of particular interest to the Weingart Foundation.

The Weingart Foundation helps to support nonprofit organizations across six different California counties, including Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbra, Riverside, and San Bernardino. In the past 40 years, the Weingart Foundation has granted over $950 million to help support different Southern California educational, social services, and community programs. The Weingart Foundation continues to be one of the major philanthropic institutions, serving the needs of Southern California with more than $750 million in assets.

Manna is honored to count the Weingart Foundation as one of our supporters. For more information on how the grant will be used to help those in need in the local community, contact Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank in Thousand Oaks, California.
