The Conejo Valley Food Bank, Manna, wants to express our profound gratitude to our community for making the first Feinstein Challenge such a huge success! The numbers are impressive. The Feinstein Challenge amounted to over $50,000 in cash donations and gathered over 31,000 food items. That brings the total value of the effort to over $81,000.
Once again the Conejo Valley has stepped up to help those who need a boost. The community has strongly supported us since 1971, recognizing that we have no religious affiliation and receive no form of federal funding. In fact, 95% of our resources come from the local community and in the form of corporate and foundation grants.
We appreciate everyone who participated in the Feinstein Challenge and want them to know that what is given by the Conejo Valley stays in the Conejo Valley to help those in need. Your efforts will continue to make it possible for us to serve over 1,400 people who rely on us every month to feed their family. Thank you.
