New Board Member: Anup Thakkar
We would like to welcome our new board member, Anup Thakkar to our team! As the new treasurer for Manna, Anup brings his years of financial experience to Manna to help ensure that we are able to run as smoothly as possible and give back to as many people as possible in the local community. The combination of his background, enthusiasm, and dedication make Anup a welcome addition to the MANNA board as we move forward. Anup Thakkar is the founder of Ledger Financials in Thousand Oaks, California. His broad range of leadership experience in many complex, multi-national entertainment companies has helped him build a strong expertise in finance, accounting, and the taxation area. Thakkar provides the leadership that is needed to ensure that Ledger Financial provides its key stakeholders and clients with relevant, timely, and transparent financial reporting. We were founded in 1971 by a group of people who believe that nobody should have to go hungry in the Conejo Valley, and have worked to provide food assistance to over 1,400 people each month since. As we are not affiliated with a religious organization, we do not receive any Federal funding, leading to most of our support coming from private donations.
