Manna will be holding a neighborhood meeting on April 30th from 10:00am – 11:30am at the church property we are purchasing (95 Oakview Drive, Thousand Oaks). As our permits make their way through the City’s process we are trying to educate the surrounding area about what we do, who we serve, and how Manna plans to be a good neighbor. It’s garden time in the Conejo Valley!!! How fortunate we are to have a growing season that is almost year round. Manna is asking local gardeners and community gardens to plant extra vegetables and donate the harvest to our pantry. We encourage you to have dedicated “Share the Harvest” gardens to bring more fresh produce into the pantry, and into the kitchens of the people we serve.
