With all the uncertainty of the times and the concern about the COVID-19 virus, we want to keep you updated and informed.
The Manna Team is committed to supporting our community through this pandemic and we are taking all the necessary precautions.
We are following all the cleaning and safety guidelines put forth by the CDC and the World Health Organization. These include but are not limited to:
- Regular interval cleaning including sanitizing doorknobs, cooler handles, cart handles and any surface that is regularly touched by multiple people.
- Providing disinfecting wipes and sanitizers for use by clients, volunteers and staff, as well as implementing social distancing techniques, when possible.
- Posting coronavirus prevention protocol posters on the outside bulletin board outside of the Manna facility, in the lobby, pantry, in the kitchen and the sorting areas (protocols taken directly from the CDC website).
- We have always followed strict guidelines about food safety and storage and will continue to do so.
We understand the impact this may have on the community, and we know that hunger never takes a break. Manna is still open and operating off normal hours, however, we are monitoring the situation closely and may choose to extend pantry hours if needed. We may also need to change the way we have clients shop and go through the pantry in order to comply with Social Distancing recommendations. We ask for your patience as we continue to navigate the safest way to support our community.
