Crop Hunger Walk 2017
Join in to benefit Manna and other Conejo Valley relief organizations by participating in this year’s 39th Annual CROP Hunger Walk. Each year close to 2,000 communities across the U.S participate in the walk to benefit not only their own communities, but communities around the globe that are in need of services. In the past the walk has brought in $4 million a year, leaving 25% of the total to the local communities that participate. Last year, we had 400 participants who brought in over $41,000. Manna received about $2,500 last year, which provided enough food for 2,000 meals! The more walkers we have from our community, the more money we can raise, allowing us to bring more resources to the community we know and love! Are you ready to lace up and start walking for YOUR community? When is the walk?  This year’s walk is on Sunday, March 5th. Free registration begins at 12:00 pm on that day. The walk begins at 1:00pm at the CLU Sports Complex. How long is the course? The course is 6 miles, although there is a 4 mile short cut. For those unable to walk the full distance, there is an honorary 20 minute walk through the campus. How to do I register and start fundraising? Participants can set up fundraising accounts online OR receive envelopes beforehand to collect sponsorships (these will be turned in the day of the walk). Want to learn more?
