CROP HUNGER WALK Sunday March 2nd
Concerned about hunger locally, and globally?  Put your feet into action and join 500 walkers for the 36th Annual CROP Hunger Walk. Last year this wonderful community tradition raised $2,400 for MANNA.
  • The 2014 Conejo CROP Walk starts at 1:00 on Sunday March 2nd at the CLU Sports Complex. Registration starts at noon.
  • The six and four mile courses go through the community and end back at CLU. There will also be an honorary 20 minute walk through the campus for less able participants.
  • Walkers receive envelopes beforehand to collect sponsor money for CROP and turn in the envelopes on the day of the walk - rain or shine!
  • Walk envelopes and details are available at Manna. Or you can click here to register online  CONEJO VALLEY CROP WALK

Each year some 2,000 communities across the U.S. join in locally organized, interfaith CROP Hunger WALKS (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) that help support Church World Service around the world and the U.S. Church World Service is a cooperative ministry of 36 Protestant, Orthodox and Anglican denominations, providing sustainable self-help and development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance in more than 80 countries. The walks bring in about 4 million a year. Up to 25% of what is raised in each local community stays there to support selected charity organizations. Last year, 2013 , our 400 walkers raised over $40,000.00.  Out of that, $10,000.00 was shared by MANNA, Conejo Meals on Wheels, Westlake Village Meals on Wheels, and LSS Community Care Center. Be a part of our 36th year celebration of the Conejo Valley CROP Hunger Walk. Doing it with friends and club members enhances the experience and includes more people and money. Make it a family outing! Share this material, talk it up, share on Facebook, grab some friends for an important connection to the world needs AND to local needs. N0 skates or bikes, please. Join over 20 clubs, churches, schools, and individuals in the Conejo Valley to walk for your health, walk for community charities, walk for the hurting world.
