Food Drive Seasons Kicks off at Manna
We don’t know about you, but for us, October marks the end of the hot season and a hopeful start to a beautiful Southern California fall. This time brings about the changing of the leaves, sweaters, community involvement, and an influx of generous community food drive donations. We kick off our busy season with the Jewish High Holy Days and will be going strong until the New Year. But this doesn’t mean we don’t need your support. Now more than ever our clients need you to show your support through donations. No donation is too small. In fact, a $15 donation can provide over 20 pounds of chicken, or 12 meals worth of food. That’s the cost of lunch at most restaurants! If you can’t donate financially, a food drive is a great way to rally your community and make a huge impact at the same time. Visit our top ten list to see what we need most and what best will help us through this busy time. Additionally, view our food drive tool kit to get all the tools you need to get started. No effort is too small. Support us today by making a cash donation, starting a food drive, or dropping off food at our facility. Check out our website, mannaconejo.org, to make on-line donations, register your food drive or inquire about volunteer opportunities. Together we can fight hunger in the Conejo Valley this holiday season!
