Meet Sam Gutnik. Sam recently had his Bar Mitzvah. Typically young adults (like Sam) who go through this religious right of passage are required to fulfill a Mitzvah, or good deed. Sam decided that he wanted to dedicate his Mitzvah project to Manna and held a food drive through his temple, Temple Adat Elohim.
Sam started off with a goal of 180lbs but exceeded that goal by double; contributing 400 lbs of food and over $750 in personal and tribute donations!
Our first Donor Spotlight is dedicated to Sam and his family who rallied their community to build our inventory and feed our neighbors.
Thanks Sam! It is because of driven citizens like you that we are able to promote food security in our community.
Are you interested in conducting your own food drive? Go to mannaconejo.org and find our “Food Drive Toolkit” for all the information you need to start your own drive and contribute to our community.
