We would like to extend a huge thank you to the National Charity League – Conejo Valley Chapter for their $10,000 grant. The grant will be used to help support Manna’s food pantry, which helps to provide food for more than 1,400 people in the Conejo Valley each month.
Each Saturday, the mother/daughter groups of the National Charity League (NCL) work as pantry escorts, hold food drives in cooperation with grocery stores in the area, conduct Shopping Cart Rallies to help supply the pantry with food, and serve on various Manna committees to help spread the word about Manna and all of its programs.
Each year, NCL invests hundreds of volunteer hours at Manna, while also supporting the “Thanksgiving for All” program with wonderful gift baskets and are always the first to answer the call for help on various projects. NCL has partnered with Manna for more than a decade. The grant was raised through fundraising events and the NCL thrift store, Fibber McGee’s!
