Manna is very proud to announce the election of our new Board President, Mr. Bob Engler. Effective March 1st, Mr. Engler will succeed outgoing President, Aaron Podell. As President of Manna’s Board of Director’s, Mr. Engler will guide the organization as it moves to improve not only the business structure of the organization, but also the overall direction of the programs we offer. With decades of service to community and as a tireless community activist we are confident in Bob’s ability to steer Manna towards a bright future and advocate to end hunger in the Conejo Valley.
Mr. Engler has served on the Manna Board of Director’s for many years, and has received many prestigious awards from the community, including the Spirit of the Community Award from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Volunteer of the Year Award. As a resident of Thousand Oaks for more than 20 years, he has a strong passion for helping out those less fortunate in his community. Engler is a retired Fire Chief and has dedicated many years of his life to volunteering throughout the Conejo Valley. Along with his years of dedication to Manna, he is also a Board Member for Conejo Recreation and Park District’s Trails Advisory Committee and an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks. Engler also works to support many other non-profits in the local area, including the Community Conscience and the Red Cross.
