A bright and shiny new gift is not always at the top of everyone’s holiday list. For 1 in 6 of our friends and neighbors who receive help from Manna, having enough food to eat throughout the holiday season is at the top of their wish list. During a typical holiday season Manna provides food to more than 1,500 food insecure households, enabling the recipients to prepare their own special holiday meal.
The
“Thanksgiving for All” program, held during Thanksgiving week, is in addition to our normal pantry distribution of everyday grocery items and toiletries and centers around the items of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
In reality, though, hunger is a 365-day a year problem for people who struggle to feed themselves. That’s why we encourage supporters to think annually as well as seasonally. Our greatest weapon against hunger is a consistent flow of everyday items that a family can use to make a meal.

FUNDRAISE WITH FRIENDS — create a custom fundraiser to include in your holiday celebrations, like office parties and open houses, or extend it throughout the year with birthday parties, anniversary celebrations or playoff games. Together we can we can make the holidays more hopeful for children, families and seniors who struggle every day to put a warm hearty meal on the table.
