If you are not familiar with
Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, it was formed in 1971 by a group of people who believed no one in Conejo Valley should go hungry. Today, Manna provides food assistance to over 1,400 people per month.
We are pleased to note that during the Rotary Club of Westlake’s “Day of Giving” event on May 14
th, they presented Manna with a community support check. The check was presented at a lunch at the Rotary meeting held at the North Ranch Country Club. Rotary’s motto is “Service above self”, and this donation once again proves the truth of that motto. Our very special thanks to the all of the members of the Rotary Club of Westlake Village, and for the community who support their causes.
Donations like these are so important to the organization because Manna is not affiliated with any religious organization and does not receive any federal funding to feed the more than 20,000 area residents who struggle with hunger every day. In fact, over 95% of the food distributed each year is donated by individuals, businesses and organizations from throughout the Conejo Valley and through donations and the results of our grant writing.
If you would like to know more information about
Manna , or to donate and help our friends and neighbors in need please
