For a second year, Manna’s
Spread the Love P, B & J campaign is back and we need the communities help to collect as many jars as we can. Peanuts contain over 30 different nutrients, making peanut butter a power packed nutritional food as well as being kid-friendly favorite.
From February 1
st through Valentine’s weekend, we urge supporters to donate jars of peanut butter and jelly to stock our pantry.
Manna distributes close to 5,000 jars of P, B & J each year and when the average child eats an estimated 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before they graduate from high school struggling homes often can’t afford this nutritious staple item because of price increases. The price of peanut butter has risen more than 30% in the past year, partly due to weather conditions and partly due to production challenges, making it more difficult for struggling families to afford, which is why Manna needs your help.
The Spread the Love campaign is a simple way to get involved and make a real impact in bringing a nutritious food that is in high demand by our families in need.
