While you are starting to think about your delicious Thanksgiving dinner, it is also important to think about what you can do to help the less fortunate. At Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank we are trying to reach our goal of providing a “Thanksgiving for All,” by making sure that everyone in the community has something to be thankful for this year.
Each Thanksgiving, we provide the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to over 550 families with over 12,000 pounds of distributed food. This year we are trying to reach even more families to ensure everyone has a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.
During the holiday season, we are looking for donations that can help complete a Thanksgiving dinner. This includes canned items such as cranberry sauce, yams, pumpkin, green beans, corn, chicken broth, creamed soups, olives, gravy, marshmallows, Jell-O, and French-fried onions.
If you would like to donate a turkey, please consider donating a $15 grocery store gift card instead. Since we serve people with many different cultural practices, we would like to be able to accommodate as many specific cultural desires as possible.
If you are short on time this holiday season, Manna can do the shopping for you. For a donation of only $35, we can purchase a full Thanksgiving dinner, including a turkey. With your help and generosity, we can help make sure that everyone can have a happy Thanksgiving!
Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank is located in Thousand Oaks and helps to provide food for people from the Calabasas Grade to the Conejo Grade. We are not affiliated with any religious organization and do not receive any federal funding, which makes each and every donation that much more important.
